Aa and Maas Water authority

“Automation saves time and energy when you don’t have to perform repetitive steps manually.”

The Aa en Maas Water authority maintains and inspects dikes, treats 300 million liters of water, and ensures a safe, sufficient, and clean water supply. It does this for approximately 778,000 residents, businesses, and the natural environment in eastern Brabant. The Brabant water authority relies on 4CEE’s support for its Unit4 Financials by Coda environment—from consulting to project management and from technical to functional aspects.

What began as support for Unit4 Financials by Coda was later expanded to include sending and receiving invoices via Peppol—naturally, with integration into Unit4 Financials.

Sending and receiving invoices via Peppol

When the need arose to receive incoming invoices from Peppol in a user-friendly and straightforward manner, Aa en Maas asked 4CEE how it could help. It was quickly decided to receive incoming Peppol invoices and forward them directly to Unit4 Financials, using our Peppol Access Point.

Since 4CEE can also handle the outgoing invoices—that is, sending them to the Peppol network—Aa en Maas chose to implement this immediately as well. And not just for Peppol invoices, but also for invoices that need to be sent via email in PDF format. In this process, Unit4 Financials receives immediate confirmation that the invoice has been sent. Various standard features, such as adding an attachment to an invoice, were incorporated into this process.

“It saves time and energy when you don’t have to perform repetitive steps manually.”

Meeting the requirements and preferences of customers

Thanks to this implementation, (semi-)manual actions became unnecessary, and Aa en Maas can now meet the requirements and preferences of debtors. “It saves time and energy when you don’t have to perform repetitive steps manually,” says Karin Lemmen, Financial Clerk at the Aa en Maas Water authority. The fact that invoice attachments are automatically linked to an invoice in Djuma (document management system) is a significant time-saver in this process.

As the most recent solution within 4CEE, Aa en Maas now also sends payment statements to its suppliers, which are also generated by 4CEE. This has proven to be a very versatile application that offers Aa en Maas a variety of benefits.
